Seeking a highly skilled candidate with a minimum of 3 years in PEDIATRICS medical coding, billing procedures, and insurance policies.
Job Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of medical coding, billing procedures, and insurance policies.
- Review and analyze medical billing data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with industry standards.
- Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility for services, addressing any discrepancies proactively.
- Ensure the accurate and timely processing of medical bills and insurance claims to optimize revenue cycle efficiency.
- Prepare, submit, and track insurance claims with third-party payers, ensuring adherence to regulatory guidelines.
- Develop, implement, and maintain billing policies and procedures to comply with healthcare regulations and payer requirements.
- Follow up on unpaid claims, identify issues causing delays, and resolve denials or rejections effectively.
- Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies, disputes, and claim adjustments to maintain financial accuracy.
- Maintain precise and up-to-date billing records, ensuring compliance with auditing and reporting standards.
- Stay current with evolving healthcare regulations, insurance policies, and industry best practices to enhance billing operations.
Skills
3 years in Pediatric Billing.
- Proficiency in medical coding, including knowledge of ICD-10, ICD-9, and DRG systems.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology related to billing processes.
- Experience in medical billing and collections within a medical office setting.
- Familiarity with various billing systems and software applications used in the healthcare industry.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical skills for reviewing patient records.
- Effective communication skills to liaise with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare staff.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $22.00 per hour
