Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate pediatric nurse practitioner to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will provide high-quality care to children, focusing on their physical, emotional, and developmental needs. You will work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care in various settings, including clinics, home care, and nursing homes.

Duties

  • Conduct thorough assessments of pediatric patients, including taking vital signs and evaluating medical history.
  • Diagnose and treat common pediatric illnesses and injuries while implementing appropriate care plans.
  • Provide education and support to families regarding health maintenance, disease prevention, and management of chronic conditions.
  • Perform medical imaging procedures as necessary and interpret results to guide treatment decisions.
  • Manage infectious disease care by following infection control standards and protocols.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care in various settings, such as hospitals and outpatient clinics.
  • Participate in triage processes to prioritize patient needs effectively.
  • Maintain accurate medical records using appropriate medical terminology and documentation standards.
  • Stay updated on current best practices in pediatric nursing and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing with a specialization in the pediatric nurse practitioner program.
  • Current certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (CPNP) or equivalent licensure.
  • Strong knowledge of medical-surgical nursing principles and practices related to pediatrics.
  • Experience in home care or nursing home settings is preferred but not required.
  • Familiarity with infection control measures and ability to implement them effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients and families clearly.
  • Proficient in using electronic health records (EHR) systems for documentation purposes.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while demonstrating strong leadership skills when needed.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $108,000.00 per year
