JOB SUMMARY:
A Studio Lead manages a team providing exceptional client services, overseeing staff, efficiency, quality, client satisfaction, profitability, risk mitigation, growth, project management, and business development. They function as local leaders, overseeing production, staffing, and client relations, and reporting to the VP of Regional Operations. The Studio lead is accountable for managing multiple clients, each generating less than $2M in annual revenue, with a collective target of exceeding $3M, prioritizing local and regional clients for growth with a 43% GP. When a specific client reaches $2 M, it moves out of the studio, and a Program manager is assigned. The Studio lead supports the Program manager with the growth of those existing clients.
OBJECTIVES:
- As an architecture Studio lead, your primary responsibility is to oversee and coordinate the operations of an architecture studio.
- The role involves managing various aspects of the studio's daily operations, supporting the architectural team, and ensuring the smooth functioning of projects.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Studio Operations Management:
- Manage and organize the day-to-day operations of the architecture studio.
- Develop and implement efficient systems, procedures, and policies to optimize workflow and increase productivity.
- Coordinate with administrative staff to ensure smooth studio functioning, including facilities management, equipment maintenance, and supplies procurement.

Program Manager Support:
- Assist program managers with existing client information. Provide a history of an existing program to support the new manager.
- Assist program managers with existing client relationship management. Provide introductions, stay connected to the relationship, and foster a positive transition.
- Continue to support program managers with guidance and answers to questions related to existing projects and programs.
PROJECT COORDINATION:
- Collaborate with project managers and architects to ensure effective project delivery.
- Assist in project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Monitor project timelines and budgets to ensure adherence to deadlines and financial targets.
- Facilitate communication and coordination among team members, clients, contractors, and consultants.
TEAM SUPPORT & MANAGEMENT:
- Provide leadership and guidance to the architectural team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Train and mentor staff.
- Support the recruitment, onboarding, and professional development of staff members.
- Allocate resources and assign tasks based on individual strengths and project requirements.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members, identifying areas for improvement and professional growth.
- Manage staff hiring, discipline, and termination.
FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT:
- Assist in budgeting and financial planning for the studio.
- Monitor project budgets and expenses, ensuring profitability and cost control.
- Coordinate with accounting and finance departments to manage invoicing, billing, and financial reporting.
- 6. Client Relationship Management:
- Function as a key point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and maintaining strong relationships.
- Oversee small client local operations.
- Provide high-level oversight for national clients and their teams.
- Collaborate with the business development team to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
- Participate in client meetings and presentations, as necessary.
QUALITY ASSURANCE & PROCESS IMPROVEMENT:
- Implement quality control measures to ensure adherence to architectural standards and best practices.
- Continuously evaluate and improve studio processes, identifying areas for efficiency and effectiveness enhancement.
- Develop production strategies to meet standards, mitigate risks, and ensure quality control.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory requirements related to architecture.
