What are the responsibilities and job description for the Deputy Maintenance Manager position at Pee Dee Regional Transportation Authority?
Responsibilities:
Provides support to the Maintenance Manager. Supervises, coordinates, and participates in the activities of employees engaged in repairing and maintaining vehicles, machinery, and equipment (Working Supervisor). Directs and coordinates activities concerned with the acquisition of automotive equipment and the operation and maintenance of vehicular fleet repair and storage facilities.
Requirements:
Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from an accredited two-year college or technical scchool.
5 years of progressive supervisory experience in all areas of gasoline and diesel automotive repair.
Corresponding years of experience may be considered as a substitute for the level of education desired.
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
Strong leadership abilities with the ability to motivate and manage a team
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
Proficient in using transportation management software and other relevant tools
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Other Requirements:
CDL preferred or must be willing to obtain Class B with Passenger Endorsement. In-house CDL training and testing available. Must pass a DOT physical exam and criminal background check. Must receive a negative result from a DOT pre-employment drug screen.
Starting Salary will be commensurate with years of experience and/or advanced educational degree.
