What are the responsibilities and job description for the Transportation Supervisor position at Pee Dee Regional Transportation Authority?
Responsibilities:
-Plans, directs, and coordinates all route services to provide passengers with fast, efficient, and safe transportation.
-Directly supervises transportation inspectors and bus operators.
- Supervises operations and ensures that activities are conducted in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
- Drives PDRTA routes when necessary
Requirements:
- High school diploma or minimum of two years responsible supervisory experience; additional education or certification in logistics or transportation management is a plus
- Proven experience in transportation operations, preferably in a supervisory role
- Strong knowledge of transportation regulations and best practices
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
- Strong leadership abilities with the ability to motivate and manage a team
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficient in using transportation management software and other relevant tools
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Other Requirements:
CDL preferred or must be willing to obtain Class B with Passenger Endorsement. In-house CDL training and testing available. Must pass a DOT physical exam and criminal background check. Must receive a negative result from a DOT pre-employment drug screen.
Starting Salary will be commensurate with years of experience and/or advanced educational degree.
