The Peel Compton Foundation is looking for a Part Time / Seasonal employee to join our Grounds Crew team at The Peel Museum and Botanical Garden. This is a great opportunity to work for an amazing organization with a meaningful mission.
What You’ll Be Doing…
Ability to climb ladders, stand for many hours during the daytime, work in all-types of weather such as wet, cold, hot, humid, and sunny conditions, perform manual labor including lifting supplies and materials up to 50 lbs.

The Peel Compton Foundation owns and operates the Peel Museum & Botanical Garden, Compton Gardens & Arboretum, Coler Mountain Bike Preserve, and Osage Park. The uniting mission for these diverse properties is to connect the community through nature, education, recreation, and preservation. The Natural Resources Technicians are responsible for keeping the properties ready for all the visitors.

What You’ll Be Doing…
- All gardening and grounds-keeping duties including planting, weeding, pruning, mulching, turf management, maintaining drives and walkways, painting, and litter pickup
- Planting and Gardening
- Light landscaping
- Keeping the grounds beautiful for the visitors
- Basic maintenance work.
- Basic hand tools
- Irrigation Systems
- Shovels
- Rakes
- Lawncare equipment
- Trimmers / blowers
- Previous experience in planting and gardening
- Experience and understanding of various types of plants and flowers
- Must be able to pass a drug screening and background check
- Strong experience in lawncare
