Job Description:
- As the Production Control Manager, you’ll ensure that every part of the production process runs like a well-oiled machine. From managing schedules to problem-solving in real-time, this role is about making impactful decisions that drive success and growth.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the Charge: Utilize ERP systems to develop and maintain production schedules that meet customer demands and optimize workflows.
- Accountability: Ensure operators adhere to job operations and clocking in procedures, keeping everything running smoothly.
- Inventory Mastery: Monitor inventory levels and work closely with the purchasing team to ensure materials are available on time.
- Analyze and Improve: Dive into production data to spot trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement. You'll be the mastermind behind identifying and implementing solutions.
- Clear the Path: Resolve paused jobs efficiently to keep the production line flowing.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Work seamlessly with engineering, quality assurance, and logistics to solve any production issues that arise.
- Ensure Excellence: Maintain production control systems and processes while preparing regular reports on performance and inventory status for management.
- Safety and Quality Champion: Guarantee compliance with safety protocols and uphold the highest quality standards throughout the production process.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: 2 years of experience in production control or manufacturing operations, ideally within a sheet metal or manufacturing environment.
- Detail-Oriented: The ability to read and understand prints and ensure all information is accurately conveyed to operators.
- Tech-Savvy: Experience pulling and cross-referencing BOMs and prints in our ERP system (Fulcrum), ensuring materials are aligned correctly.
- Material Expertise: Be able to differentiate between materials such as SCH 10, SCH 40, SS, CRS, hardware types like SS, galvanized, and yellow zinc plated.
- Effective Communication: Ability to work closely with engineering to resolve mismatched prints and missing materials.
- MRP Proficiency: Navigate through MRP to find updates per project and ensure everything aligns perfectly.
- Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to analyze production data for continuous improvement.
- Tech Skills: Proficiency in production planning software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Lean Manufacturing Knowledge: Familiarity with Lean principles is a big plus!
