Job Description:
- As a Quality Inspector, you will be the driving force behind ensuring that our materials and products meet the highest standards of quality, so end-client's clients can trust in the perfection of every piece we produce.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect with Precision: Carefully review blueprints and specifications to ensure all materials and products meet our stringent quality standards.
- Approval & Rejection: Evaluate raw materials, approve or reject based on quality, and track supplier performance for continuous improvement.
- Sample Testing & Analysis: Select and test product samples, ensuring dimensions, functionality, and specifications meet or exceed expectations.
- Automated Systems Operation: Utilize advanced automated systems for complex testing procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Record Keeping & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of tests, inspections, and production metrics, including defect rates and performance standards.
- Process Monitoring: Oversee every stage of the production cycle to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and efficiency standards.
- Equipment Safety & Maintenance: Monitor equipment usage, ensuring all machinery is in optimal working condition, and discard any subpar items.
- Report to Management: Prepare detailed reports for the Quality Manager on testing results, quality metrics, and potential improvements.
Requirements:
- Proven Experience: A background in quality inspection in a manufacturing setting, with a focus on heavy manufacturing.
- Expertise in Measurement Tools: Experience with CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machines) and other quality control tools.
- Manufacturing Know-How: Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication processes and standards.
- Detail-Oriented: A sharp eye for detail and a results-driven approach to inspection and quality control.
- Reliable & Trustworthy: A dependable individual who takes ownership of ensuring products meet the highest standards of excellence.
- Certification Advantage: Certification in quality control standards (ISO 9000 or similar) is a strong plus.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficient in MS Office and familiar with quality testing systems and software.
- Educational Background: High School diploma or equivalent; further qualifications in quality control or manufacturing will be considered an asset.
