What are the responsibilities and job description for the Channel Manager position at PEERLESS INDUSTRIES INC?
Execute and maximize the Company’s programs and position to the IT Distribution customers.
HYBRID POSITION: This position is eligible to participate in Peerless-AV’s Hybrid Work Model.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- College degree (or equivalent work experience).
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a Sales or a Channel position.
- Audiovisual mounting industry experience strongly preferred, but not required.
- Proven experience in relationship building and customer interpersonal communications.
Required Skills:
- Ability to think strategically and creatively.
- Must be able to interact with all levels inside our IT Distribution partners.
- Must possess strong communications skills, and be capable of expressing ideas and concepts in writing and verbally.
- Strong presentation and organizational required; as well as an excellent attention to detail and ability to prioritize.
PC Skills:
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
ESSENTIAL RESULTS:
IT DISTRIBUTORS:
- Ensure effective execution of all Peerless-funded distributor-marketing campaigns.
- Track approved marketing campaign effectiveness.
- Analyze results and recommend new programs that are more effective.
- Travel as required to participate in distributor events and activities as required in building Peerless mind share.
- As required, participate in floor days, training sessions, exhibits, and lunch & learns.
- Develop targeted distributor-specific sales collateral materials as required. Distribute literature as required.
- Ensure the distributor’s sales team is equipped with the required Peerless product information.
- Increase awareness of Peerless products among distributor sales team.
- Develop Peerless sales training presentations and deliver face-to-face as required to distributor salespeople/resellers.
- Ensure successful new product launches.
- Execute new SKU setup procedures and paperwork as required.
- Track all channel-marketing programs. Review and approve all claims against established programs.
- Work closely with Finance to develop spreadsheets and forms for establishing and tracking programs.
- Improve internal processes and communications to the field sales force to improve channel efficiency.
- Manage onsite distribution headcount and budget
- Perform other special projects and duties as assigned.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Professional, business/office setting.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk, up to 8 hours a day and working on a computer.
- Occasionally entering plant/warehouse (can range in temperature, humidity and dust levels).
- Occasional bending (at knees) or lifting boxes/packages 2-30 lbs.
- Must be able to wear required safety PPE.
