Job Title: Machine Assembly Technician
Peerless Machine and Tool, a worldwide leader in the manufacture of paper converting machinery and tooling, is looking to hire a Machine Assembly Technician. The role is for someone seeking a hands-on opportunity to work in a machine manufacturing facility. The applicant will fit and assemble components, rebuilds, and new machinery using various hand and power tools. Basic understanding of fits, tolerances, and alignment of mechanical components is a plus. Some travel will be required for service or repair work. The job entails but is not limited to the skills, requirements, and responsibilities listed below.
The Machine Assembly Technician will report to the Assembly Supervisor.
Responsibilities and Duties
• Perform mechanical, electrical, and tooling check outs at customer facility
• Assemble new machinery
• Ability to understand technical manuals, schematic diagrams, and installation instructions to complete tasks
• Apply knowledge of mechanics, pneumatics, electrical circuits, and programming to complete tasks
• Troubleshoot and repair faulty machinery using diagnostics and test equipment
Qualifications
• 3-5 years of experience in machine building, installing, and servicing equipment is a plus
• Manufacturing experience is a plus
• Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
• Communicate and works professionally with customers
• Requires travel (20%)
• A strong work ethic, stable work history, solid communication skills, pleasant attitude, and a team player mentality
