Peerless Technologies is seeking an experienced Logistics Manager, to support the B-52 Program Office located at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. The B-52 Program Office is fast-paced environment supporting a broad array of Divisions and Branches supporting the F-B-52 Fleet. You will interface with various government and military stakeholders, including the Weapon System Prime Contractor, to provide logistics management support for B-52 logistics and modernization activities in support of the B-52 Program Office mission.
The successful candidate will support the B-52 Program by providing the following skills/activities in support B-52 operations such as, but not limited to:
- Coordinate all Product Support Elements (PSEs), encompassing spares, support equipment, training, facilities, technical data, and provisioning, ensuring all integrated logistics support requirements align with F/B Directorate needs.
- Provide expert guidance to the Government, developing comprehensive long-term weapon system supportability strategies that advance acquisition goals and objectives, including collaborative forecasting of future program requirements and initial spare projections.
- Assist B-52 with securing essential logistics resources, conducting site surveys and program reviews, determining depot maintenance capabilities, and performing in-depth analyses of sustainment challenges, particularly Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS), recommending viable replacement solutions.
- The Logistician Manager will oversee the generation and review of all logistics support documentation, including Integrated Logistics Support Plans, Life Cycle Sustainment Plan, Technical Orders, Technical Manuals, Electronic Technical Manuals, Illustrated Parts Breakdowns, Reliability Centered Maintenance Analysis (RCMA), and work specifications, ensuring adherence to Government standards.
- Work closely with stakeholders across the B-52 program to forecast future logistics requirements (initial spares for example), anticipate potential challenges, and develop proactive solutions.
- Collaborate with the System Program Office and the Contractor to develop and implement contract modifications related to logistics and sustainment aspects of the program.
- Provide relevant logistics data and insights to Operations Research analysts to support the development of accurate cost assessments for the B-52 program.
- Additionally, this role will oversee and manage government furnished property (GFP), collaborate with configuration management to ensure contract deliverable compliance, partner with the System Program Office and Contractor on contract modifications, and provide critical data to Operations Research analysts for accurate Cost Assessment development.
REQUIREMENTS
- Advanced Degree (Master of Arts (MA)/Master of Science (MS)) and twelve (12) years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, five (5) years of which must be in the DoD,
- Or, BA/BS degree, and fifteen (15) years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, five (5) of which must be in the DoD,
- Or, twenty (20) years of directly related experience with proper certifications as described in the Functionally Aligned Job Descriptions, eight (8) of which must be in the DoD.
- Experience with and access to logistics systems such as PIEE, WebFLIS, BLADE, Haystack Gold, ASSIST, MICT, ETIMS, and/or Logistics Tool Suite is strongly preferred but not required
- Secret Clearance, and able to obtain Special Access Program (SAP) eligibility if required.
