What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cyber Security Analyst (Clearance Required) position at Peerless Technologies?
The successful candidate will work within the US Air Force Civil Engineer Center (AFCEC) to provide technical advice for acquisition, development, and/or sustainment of data networks and facility related control systems (FRCS), sub- systems, support equipment, and cyber security relating to Advanced Meter Reading Systems (AMRS). Create and document system security processes, and procedures; assist in the creation of cybersecurity policy for the AFCEC/CN. Develop approaches to mitigate vulnerabilities and recommend changes to AFCEC network infrastructure and software components as needed. Ensure that the implementation of security designs properly mitigate identified threats. Design, develop, implement, and integrate AFCEC/CN systems IA architecture, systems, and system components for use within computer, network, and enclave environments. Ensure the security architecture and design of AFCEC/CN systems are functional and secure. Participate in meetings and design reviews to support the implementation of new and upgraded Government systems (AMRS) and advise and assist the Government on acceptability. Heavy focus on vulnerability remediation through the implementation of STIGs, SCAP and ACAS findings.
Requirements:
- Familiarity with Meters such as Nexus, Schneider, EMON, Elster A3, and Shark is preferable.
- Familiarity with the AF meter security specifications and DOD guidance with the ability to identify compliant devices as well as the ability to identify configuration options based upon the AMRS Type Accreditation Topology.
- Ability to identify compliant devices as well as the ability to identify requirements to effectively connect partially compliant devices to the government provided equipment.
- Experience with Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS), Solar winds and DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), STIG Viewer and Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP)
- Technical expertise and knowledge of various interconnection technologies to integrate meters between new and legacy proprietary systems.
- DOD 8570 and IAT Level II certification
- Secret level DoD Security Clearance
