Role Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant with B2B SaaS experience to manage daily accounting operations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, monthly close activities, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, tech-savvy, and eager to grow within a fast-paced startup environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general ledger reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close activities.
- Handle accounts receivable, collections, billing questions, and invoicing using Zuora and QuickBooks.
- Process accounts payable transactions via bill.com and manage vendor relationships.
- Prepare payroll entries and collaborate closely with HR.
- Support financial statement preparation and assist with budgeting/forecasting processes.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
- Assist in year-end audits and tax preparation support.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 2 years of accounting experience specifically in a B2B SaaS or similar technology environment.
- Proven proficiency with QuickBooks, Zuora, bill.com, Salesforce, and Excel.
- Strong understanding of GAAP, particularly SaaS revenue recognition.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Comfortable working independently in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment.
