PeerSource is currently recruiting for a Tax Manager on a Direct Hire basis for our client located in Englewood, CO.
Summary
Join a dynamic team as a Tax Manager, contributing to federal and state income tax compliance and reporting efforts. This role is instrumental in maintaining tax accuracy, supporting audits, and leveraging opportunities for tax savings, all while ensuring compliance with US GAAP/SEC reporting standards. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in income tax compliance, reporting, and provision processes, while also supporting various tax audits and special projects.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and complete federal and state income tax returns and related reports.
- Assist in reviewing federal and state tax returns and computing quarterly estimated and extension payments.
- Support the corporate income tax provision process in line with ASC 740 for US GAAP/SEC reporting compliance.
- Participate in federal and state income tax audits as necessary.
- Conduct tax research to ensure compliance with evolving regulations and identify tax-saving opportunities.
- Contribute to various special projects, including research & development studies, fixed asset tax ledger oversight, and tax notice correspondence.
Required Skills
- 5 years of experience in income tax compliance for large, publicly traded corporations, and income tax accounting under ASC 740.
- Familiarity with software such as OneSource Tax Provision, Longview Tax Provision, CorpTax, and Sage.
- Ability to draft tax position papers and technical memos to substantiate company tax positions.
- Strong judgment skills and ability to follow established procedures effectively.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. Master’s degree in Taxation is a plus.
- CPA certification is highly preferred.
- Fixed Assets experience is a plus.
Salary: $100,000 - $140,000
