Satellite Communications Engineer

PeerSource is currently recruiting for a Satellite Communications Engineer on a Direct Hire basis. This role is based out of Germantown, MD.

Summary

We are seeking a skilled Sr. SATCOM Engineer to design and implement SATCOM solutions that meet DoD customer requirements. This role involves evaluating and integrating SATCOM equipment, managing product configurations, performing system acceptance testing, and supporting business development efforts. The position requires direct engagement with U.S. government customers and the ability to obtain a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Analyze customer requirements and maintain the product roadmap.
• Lead evaluation, integration, and procurement of partner SATCOM equipment.
• Manage product enhancements, partner component configurations, and system integration.
• Oversee product quality and configuration management activities.
• Conduct system acceptance testing to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Design tailored SATCOM solutions based on customer and product requirements.
• Specify and procure necessary equipment and services.
• Perform engineering tasks including transmission planning, link budget analysis, network design, and technical briefings.
• Support RFP responses by performing requirements, compliance, and gap analysis.
• Assist business development efforts by providing technical expertise and program support.
