Warehouse Specialist DSD
Reporting to the Regional Manager and working in conjunction with the DSD Distribution team and RSR’s, the Warehouse Specialist provides the hands-on tactical support to implement and evaluate alternatives to drive measurable improvements. Additionally, the Warehouse Specialist provides functional coverage as required in the areas of fulfillment and inventory management. This is a part-time, non-exempt position. The responsibilities include all receiving and shipping activity, proper storage, and accounting of product. RSR and ID orders are loaded accurately and on-time. Proper accounting and storage of all incoming and outgoing products.
What You Will Do
In partnership with the RSR’s and the Regional Manager, the warehouse specialist will facilitate the tactical aspect of implementing various efficiency initiatives.
Responsible for the maintenance and development of metrics which help drive continuous improvement.
Work within various shipping/fulfillment/inventory departments to increase efficiency and improve workflow/processes within the warehouse.
Creates, implements, and maintains productivity standards.
Provide back-up functional coverage in the Fulfillment and Inventory Management of the warehouse.
Report damages and shortages to the manager on duty in a prompt manner.
Ensure any damaged products are not shipped to customers.
Unload shipments efficiently. Check packing lists against purchase orders. Acknowledge accuracy of delivery by signing bill of lading. Follow all transfer, shipping and receiving procedures.
Assist in the performance and continuous improvement of the auditing process with the goal of eliminating miss picks.
Perform inventory tracking tasks as required.

Being able to build displays and have them floor ready for the customer.

Computer proficiency within Microsoft suite as well as production software such as DAX.
