Assistant Controller
Onsite in Mid-County St. Louis | Full-Time | Hybrid Leadership Hands-On Role
We’re partnering with a fast-growing investment and real estate firm looking for a sharp, motivated CPA to take on a hands-on Assistant Controller role. It’s a great fit for someone with at least two years of public accounting experience who’s ready to dive into the details, take ownership of the numbers, and grow within a collaborative, fast-paced environment. The company has a flat, entrepreneurial structure where titles matter less than results, and everyone works together to keep things moving forward.
What we’re looking for
- CPA required or actively pursuing certification
- 2 yrs. of public accounting experience
- Industry experience in construction or real estate is a plus
What You’ll Do
- Handle month-end close, financial statement prep, reconciliations, and budgeting
- Be hands-on with the numbers but also step into leadership by overseeing accounting staff
- Help build out the accounting function as the company grows
- Work directly with ownership
- Get involved in a mix of tasks, from tracking construction costs to pulling together investor updates and building financial models.
- Coordinate with outside tax firms and support compliance work
- Be ready to roll up your sleeves for the day-to-day work while also thinking big picture—you’ll be part of both planning and doing.

Salary : $95,000 - $125,000
