Our client, a local GC, has a direct-hire Project Engineer opportunity. They have a variety of work from retail, historic, LI, fire stations, country clubs, etc… Great culture, compensation, benefits, bonus and little to no travel as mostly local business. 1-2 years of experience in Commercial Construction Project Management needed running smaller projects.
Core Responsibilities as Project Engineer:
- Prepare and negotiate contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders and change orders.
- Budget, track, and forecast project costs.
- Direct superintendent to achieve completion of the project which is on schedule, within budget, and with quality workmanship.
- Experienced in commercial construction and infrastructure is a requirement
- Ensures all company employees and contractors are adhering to the company safety policy.
- Experienced in scheduling, ordering, field supervision, quality control, and production of all phases of construction.
- Experienced in managing multiple projects at one time.
- Review and communicate with architect for submittal process.
- Review invoices and process pay applications.
- Proficient using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Project)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 5 years of experience in project management or relevant fields
- Demonstrated ability to deliver a completed project
- Strong communication skills
- Experience working with a team
Salary : $80,000
