PandoLogic presents a career opportunity for a Quality Engineer in the Columbus area for PEG, a leading global manufacturer.
This role oversees quality performance for the Southeast division and reports to the Quality Manager of the US at their corporate headquarters.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in Material Review Board (MRB) meetings and design/maintain quality Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Support the development and implementation of effective corrective and preventive action systems using a data-driven approach.
- Manage Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) for new product startups, including completing documentation such as Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), First Article Inspection (FAI), and Capability Studies.
- Utilize Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Measurement System Analysis (MSA) methodologies effectively.
- Analyze engineering drawings, standards, and specifications.
- Prepare, supervise, and close customer, ISO, and external audits.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 4-5 years of experience in quality management/continuous improvement within a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated experience with Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma is essential.
- Experience performing capability studies, PPAPs, FAIs, audits, 8Ds, or other problem-solving tools within a manufacturing setting is crucial.
- Proficiency in using a quality management system and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system is vital.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 is required; strong understanding of other ISO 9000 standards and certification is preferred.
