Senior Corporate Accountant Job Description
Are you ready to take your accounting career to the next level? Join our clients team as a Senior Corporate Accountant , where you'll be at the heart of our financial operations. In this short-term contract role , youll make a real impact by ensuring accurate reporting, participating in monthly close, and supporting compliance with GAAP standards. This role is fully on site in Maryland Heights in an extremely positive work environment with typical office hours.
What You Will Be Doing :
- Own the Financial Close Process : Prepare journal entries, perform account reconciliations, and deliver timely, accurate financial reports that meet deadlines and stakeholder expectations.
Drive Accuracy in Journal Entries : Record entries for accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, leases, and other key transactions with precision.
Analyze and Reconcile Accounts : Dive into data to identify discrepancies, resolve issues, and deliver insightful financial analysis to inform decision-making.
Manage Fixed Assets : Oversee fixed asset records across multiple entities, ensuring accurate tracking of additions, disposals, transfers, and depreciation while aligning with policy requirements.
Support Consolidation Efforts : Collaborate with the Corporate Controller to prepare consolidation and elimination entries, produce consolidated financial statements, and report results to stakeholders.
Research Complex GAAP Issues : Provide technical accounting expertise to solve challenges and ensure compliance with US GAAP.
Contribute to International Accounting : Track and analyze international transactions in local currencies for statutory and tax reporting.
Who You Are :
Experience : 3 years of corporate accounting experience
Skills :
Exceptional analytical skills with a knack for solving complex problems.
Strong understanding of US GAAP and internal controls.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams).
Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of juggling multiple priorities.
A proactive team player with excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
