General Responsibilities:
We are seeking a highly experienced and customer-focused Janitorial Services Day Lead to join our dynamic team. The Day Lead will work alongside the OS1 team and day porters, performing janitorial tasks during the day and ensuring high standards of cleanliness and customer service. This role is essential for maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for our clients and their visitors.

Specific Duties / Essential Functions:
CUSTOMER SERVICE:
- Serve as the main point of contact for clients, maintaining direct communication with the Portfolio Manager and Assistant Portfolio Manager.
- Address and resolve customer requests and concerns promptly and professionally.
-Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through exceptional service and attention to detail.
JANITORIAL TASKS:
- Assist the OS1 team within dormitories, performing housekeeping tasks such as trash removal, vacuuming, high dusting, and low dusting.
- Manage impromptu customer requests, ensuring timely and efficient responses.
- Handle event setup and breakdown, ensuring cleanliness before, during, and after events.
- Perform dust mopping, wet mopping, and sweeping of all assigned areas.
- Conduct restroom maintenance, including disinfection and replenishing consumables.
- Clean and maintain break rooms, common areas, gyms, and office spaces.
INVENTORY CONTROL:
- Monitor and manage inventory levels of cleaning supplies and consumables.
- Ensure timely replenishment of stock to avoid shortages and maintain operational efficiency.
TEAM LEADERSHIP:
- Lead and support the day porters and OS1 team in daily tasks and responsibilities.

- Proven experience in janitorial services, with a strong background in customer service and client relations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

- Experience with inventory control and replenishment processes.
- Knowledge of janitorial processes and procedures, including disinfection and maintenance techniques.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating leadership and initiative.

- Consistent attendance and punctuality at work and on time.
Physical Demands:
Physically able to be on your feet during an entire shift; walking, bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, pulling, pushing, kneeling, and crouching. Must be able to lift 35 lbs, carry 12 lbs, and use a backpack vacuum as needed.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time non-exempt position, working during normal business hours.
Education:
High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
Experience:
- Previous experience in a janitorial or custodial role is preferred but not required. Willingness to undergo training and learn the OS1 system is essential.
- Min 2 yrs. of Supervisory experience – Supervisor Position only
Work Environment:
Comfortable working in various environmental conditions, including exposure to cleaning chemicals and equipment noise.
Additional Requirements:
- Must be able to wear any necessary protective gear and adhere to safety guidelines.
- Flexibility to work shifts as needed, including occasional overtime or weekend work.
