What are the responsibilities and job description for the PI Litigation Paralegal Underwriting position at Pegasus Legal Capital, LLC?
The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting attorneys in all stages of litigation matters. This candidate should feel comfortable conducting research, doing data entry, scheduling, maintaining case files, and completing other ad-hoc requests, as needed.
Key areas of responsibilities will include:
- Providing Intake for prospective clients
- Reviewing case files, entering case information; writing up case synopses (liability/damages/insurance, etc.).
- Establish and foster client relationships within law firms and medical practices
- Ability to work independently as well as in teams
- Able to communicate efficiently with colleagues and clients in different locations, geographies, and time-zones
Requirements/Skills:
- 3 years of litigation experience in a plaintiff personal injury law firm
- Diligent, detail oriented, intuitive, good at taking direction, not afraid to ask questions, able to learn quick, ability to see the BIG picture and take initiative.
- Strong communication skills – written, phone, in person
- Professional and presentable
- Ability to thrive in a start-up environment
