As a Medication Tech / Certified Medication Aide (CMA) at our organization, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the wellbeing of our senior residents by providing medication assistance or administration according to state regulations and physicians' orders. - Qualifications :
- Must be a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) and meet the specific certification requirements of the state
- Minimum of six (6) months of relevant experience working with older adults
- Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written, with residents and staff
- Ability to handle medication assistance and administration responsibilities with accuracy and empathy
- Ideal candidate will demonstrate qualities of compassion, organization, and multitasking ability
- Responsibilities :
- Administer medications to residents as prescribed by physicians, following state requirements and protocols
- Document medication administration and any observed resident reactions or side effects
- Communicate with healthcare team members regarding residents' medication needs and changes in condition
- Ensure resident safety and confidentiality in handling medications and related tasks
- Provide care and support to residents with kindness and integrity
