We are seeking an experienced Audio Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be producing live audio for government meetings for broadcast television and web-streaming. The Engineer is responsible for mixing all live audio using a Soundcraft audio board. This is a part-time position. Productions are 1-2 times a week with most productions taking place Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday. Typically hours are 7 : 30 am to 6 pm. There are occasional Thursday and Friday productions as well with an average of 4-10 shifts per month. Overtime is paid for shifts going over 8 hours. The location is onsite in downtown Los Angeles.
Responsibilities :
- Operation : Set up, operate, and maintain audio equipment. Properly mix live audio, remote sources, and videos for broadcast.
- Technical Support : Provide timely equipment troubleshooting and reporting to our engineering team to ensure uninterrupted broadcasts.
- Quality Assurance : Maintain equipment records, track issues, and uphold quality control standards for seamless broadcasting.
- Collaboration : Thrive in a team-oriented environment, collaborating effectively with colleagues to further enhance the broadcast experience for staff members.
- Communication : Demonstrate clear and concise communication skills with staff, maintaining a professional work environment and adhering to a business casual dress code.
