General Maintenance Worker (2ND SHIFT) – Goodfellow Federal Building - St. Louis, MO
Position Summary:
The General Maintenance Worker position is located at the Goodfellow Federal Building, 4300 Goodfellow Blvd, St. Louis, MO.
This position performs general maintenance of the building and equipment requiring practical skill and knowledge (but not proficiency) in such trades as painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, and electrical work.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Must be able to read/write English and interpret various information to ensure procedures are followed.
Physical Demands:
The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee may occasionally be required to lift more than 75 pounds. The employee must have close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment:
Work environment will require on-call rotation. The employee may be exposed to noise, dirt, dust, grease, machinery with moving parts, irritating chemicals, and occasional cold, heat, and inclement weather. The work may require the use of protective devices, such as respirators, masks, goggles, and/or gloves.
**Pay Rate: $23.12, plus hourly Fringe and 15% Hazard Pay**
Shift: 1:30pm - 10:00pm
A background check and drug screen will be conducted for this position.

General Maintenance Worker (2ND SHIFT) – Goodfellow Federal Building - St. Louis, MO
Position Summary:
The General Maintenance Worker position is located at the Goodfellow Federal Building, 4300 Goodfellow Blvd, St. Louis, MO.
This position performs general maintenance of the building and equipment requiring practical skill and knowledge (but not proficiency) in such trades as painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, and electrical work.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Replaces electrical receptacles, wires, switches, fixtures, and motors.
- Replaces filters, belts, etc.
- Use plaster or compound to patch minor holes and cracks in walls and ceilings.
- Repairing or replacing sinks, water coolers, and toilets
- Painting structures and equipment
- Repairing or replacing concrete floors, steps, and sidewalks
- Replacing damaged paneling and floor tiles
- Hanging doors and installing door locks
- Replacing broken windowpanes
- Performs general maintenance on equipment and machinery.
- Flexible scheduling to include on-call rotations, occasional overtime, and some weekend work.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.
- Knowledge of building repair and maintenance.
- Knowledge of general mechanical, electrical and/or carpentry.
- Knowledge of safety procedures.
- Skill in operation of hand and power tools.
- Skill in establishing priorities and organizing work.
