Job Title: Lead Adoptions Coordinator

Reports To: Adoptions & Retail Manager
FLSA Status: Non-exempt
Pay Rate: $19.00 Hourly
SUMMARY
Assists Adoptions & Retail Manager with supervising Adoptions Coordinators in handling daily duties associated with the Adoption department.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Assures Adoptions Coordinators comply with standard operating procedures to ensure quality customer service and positive productivity.

Work closely with Adoptions & Retail Manager to resolve conflicts with internal and external stakeholders; identify and address employee relations, operational and protocol issues; and evaluate staff performance.

Assists in reviewing existing procedures and provides feedback for changes to ensure the needs of staff and animals are met.

Oversee the training, scheduling and placement of adoption volunteers.

Assists Adoptions & Retail Manager with the creation and management of staff and volunteer schedules.

Facilitate adoptions

Provide quality customer service in responding to client inquiries, including answering phone calls, voicemails, emails, and in-person inquiries.

Ensure end of day processes are complete, and accurate financial and adoption records are submitted in adherence with protocol.

Cleaning of adoption areas as necessary (ie: urine, fecal matter, bodily fluids, dirt and mud)

Handle dogs and cats of all breeds, size and temperament.

General knowledge of care, cleaning and keeping of domestic dogs and cats

Ability to follow guidance of the behavior team relating to behavioral modification and training

Must be computer literate

Must have general knowledge of applicable Palm Beach County Animal Control Ordinances

Must be available seven days a week (weekends required)

Must have two (2) years experience within a shelter environment
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Working knowledge of Chameleon shelter database

One year related experience and/or training involving retail sales, secretarial and/or customer service experience
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma or GED
-
Basic computer skills including but not limited to ability to access databases, check company e-mail, etc.
