What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Parts Delivery (No Travel- 6am-2:30pm) position at PEI-Genesis?
1st shift Inventory Parts Delivery Person (also known as the Water Spider or Milk Run) needed in our state-of-the-art environmentally controlled, extremely clean facility in South Bend, IN
This position is responsible retrieving the components needed to complete the assembly process orders and assist in the removal of non-conforming product from the ERP system. Additionally this position will assist in maintaining the integrity of the inventory in all phases of stocking and handling within the warehouse

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE (Needed/desired for this Position)
- Strong analytical skills.
- Prior experience in warehouse setting.
- Prior experience in operating a fork lift is a benefit (not required).
- Must be Detail Oriented.
- Poses basic problem solving skills.
- Poses basic computer user skills.
- Poses good listening skills.
- Strong work ethics including attendance/tardiness and honesty.
- Must be receptive to cross training in all areas of the Inventory Control Department as needed.
- Must be able to complete tasks in an expedient and orderly manner while attaining the quality standards set forth by PEI-Genesis and the ISO 9001: 2008/AS9100C: 2009.
- High School Diploma or GED Preferred or any combination of education, training and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
TECHNICAL and/or MANAGERIAL JOB COMPETENCIES – (Specific Job Proficiencies and Skills)
- Basic understanding of a Work Order’s Kit List section with regards to warehouse locations.
- Basic understanding of ERP computer programs related to inventory stocking/ movement and the work order Kit List.
- Basic understanding of a connector and its various components.
- Strong understanding of the warehouse:
- How product is inventoried
- Lot codes / date codes
- FIFO – First-In-First-Out
- Complete understanding, set-up and use of Weigh/Counting Scales and other equipment, measuring devices applicable to job function.
- Strong understanding of simple mathematics.
- Strong understanding of the plant layout, work cells and how product flows through the warehouse for distribution to PEI customers and the production room for assembly.
ESSENTIAL TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Other duties may be assigned.)
- Complete daily assignments efficiently and accurately to assure the integrity of the inventory.
- Manual lifting up to 35lbs on regular basis and up to 70lbs on occasion (with assistance)
- Must be able to perform repetitive detailed work.
- Must be able to work on feet at least 90% of the day.
- Must be to reach over shoulder to top shelf of inventory bays in warehouse with or without the aid of a ladder.
- Maintain your work area in a clean and orderly manner adhering to basic 5S principles “SORT, STRAIGHTEN, SHINE SYSTEMIZE and SUSTAIN”.
- Ensure that training is up to date and recognize the need for additional and/or continuous training.
- Resolve any discrepancies daily.
- Ensure that the quality of product in the warehouse has met the PEI-Genesis and
ISO 9001: 2008/AS9100C: 2009 standards.
- Ability to fluctuate schedule as deemed necessary by management or as the work load requires.
- Check/Inspect received ordered supplies to make sure they correspond with purchase order receipts before moving components to locations in the warehouse.
- Update inventory records with new information on a constant basis via proper adjustment/scrap codes.
- Detect inventory shortages by helping to maintain an accurate inventory.
- Identify and distribute stock through the Put-A-Way process to appropriate locations within warehouse.
- Transports and shifts material using appropriate handling equipment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Manual lifting up to 35 lbs. on a regular basis and up to 70 lbs. on occasion (with assistance).
- Repetitive detailed work with hands for 8 hours of the day.
- Ability to sit or stand for up to 8 hours.
- Be able to reach overhead with or without the aid of a ladder or step stool.
- Ability to Grip/Grasp at least 8 hours of the day.
