About The Role
We at PEI Group are looking for Content Editor to join our welcoming, diverse and growing team in New York. The successful candidate will copy edit news articles, features and data for web and print on developments and trends in private equity and other alternative assets, such as infrastructure and real estate. You will also oversee the creation and publication of infographics and presentations, and make a significant contribution to the editorial team in improving the quality of the group’s print and digital output.
The successful candidate will have an eye for detail, flair for finessing copy and strong headline-writing/SEO skills. You could be editing a web story on agriculture one minute and helping a magazine designer lay out a feature on European real estate the next.
An interest in business journalism is key, as is the ability to handle competing priorities. Your colleagues will be based around the world, so you’ll also need to be flexible, as well as meticulously organized.
- Edit copy to high standard in terms of accuracy, grammar and house style;
- Upload content from print publications to PEI’s digital CMS, rewriting headlines and furniture accordingly;
- Create/update homepages and landing pages;
- Proofread print pages;
- Demonstrate high level of organisation and self-motivation to meet multiple deadlines;
- Collaborate with colleagues across teams and in offices around the world to develop original content ideas.

Qualifications & Experience:
- At least two years’ journalism experience.
- Strong organisational skills and working knowledge of standard journalism practices and techniques.
- Copy editing experience with meticulous attention to detail, grammar, syntax, spelling, punctuation and tone;
- Working knowledge of both US and UK English grammar and spelling.
- Knowledge of WordPress, Sailthru, Excel and data visualization packages.
- Experience of working with charts and data.
- Familiarity with Adobe InDesign.
