About The Role
We at PEI Group are looking for a Data Journalist to join our welcoming, diverse, and growing team in New York. The successful candidate will work in collaboration with the news team to uncover and report on news stories using data. The role will involve generating, analyzing and visualizing internal and external data to provide insights, context, and in-depth reporting on activities and trends in the private investment space.
Your main responsibilities will include :
- Creating data visualizations, such as charts, graphics, maps, and interactive tools, to enhance the storytelling
- Researching and gathering relevant data from various sources, including internal databases, as well as government and industry sources
- Verifying and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the collected data
- Using data analytical tools to identify trends and anomalies within the data collection
- Collaborating with reporters and / or subject matter experts for content development
