Overview
We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee and manage construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with all safety and quality standards. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively communicate with various stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise construction teams on-site, ensuring adherence to project plans and specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and contracts to ensure accurate execution of the project.
- Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
- Utilize construction management software such as HeavyBid for project scheduling and budgeting.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, safety compliance, and quality control.
- Address any issues or conflicts that arise during the construction process promptly.
- Maintain detailed records of project activities, including daily logs, change orders, and meeting minutes.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Construction Superintendent or in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction management principles and practices.
- Familiarity with demolition and/or earthwork and grading.
- Proficiency in blueprint reading, contract interpretation, budgeting, and scheduling software (HeavyBid).
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams towards achieving project goals.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
