The Opportunity: Buyer
Your Role: The Buyer is responsible for procurement functions directly associated with the organization’s needs for indirect materials and services, fixed assets and tooling, and select production materials and services. You will ensure coordination with internal departments and assure the timely execution of products and services. You may also need to assist in interviewing and consulting with current and prospective suppliers to determine supply capabilities, transportation logistics, and management.

You may also need to assist in interviewing and consulting with current and prospective suppliers to determine supply capabilities, transportation logistics, and management.
Reports To: Procurement Manager
What We’re Looking For:
- Initiates purchase orders as required for electrical and mechanical components, perishable tooling, MRO supplies, raw materials, and general job shop needs.
- Places purchase orders in an ISO environment with our current supplier base using our ERP system
- Handles any needed accounting review of invoices and packing slips.
- Ability to manage heavy daily contact with vendors
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Ability to conduct precise and detailed communications
- Minimum 3-5 years of purchasing materials in manufacturing environment
- APICS certification, ERP knowledge, foundational supply chain knowledge a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred
