JOB SUMMARY:
The Data Entry Clerk will be responsible for accurately inputting, updating, and maintaining information in company database systems while ensuring data integrity and timely processing. The role will proactively ensure all documentation is filed accurately for easy retrieval.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES, FUNCTIONS, AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Input, update, and maintain accurate records in database systems.
- Compare data with source documents, or re-enter data in verification format.
- Verify and correct data discrepancies to ensure data integrity.
- Organize and maintain physical and digital files according to established filing systems.
- Retrieve and reference files as appropriate for reference and reporting.
- Perform regular data backups to ensure the security and protection of proprietary information.
- Conduct regular checks to identify and correct errors in data entry.
- Collaborate with team members to resolve any discrepancies in data.
- Prioritize and complete tasks within established timelines.
- Meet daily and weekly quotas for data entry tasks.
- Communicate effectively to obtain missing information or clarification on data entries.
- Report any issues or concerns related to data quality.
- Handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
- Follow established guidelines and procedures for data entry and recordkeeping.
- Assist with administrative tasks as needed.
- Exhibit exemplary attendance and punctuality.
- Comply with company policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND RELATED EXPERIENCE
- A high school diploma or equivalent GED is preferred.
- A certification in data entry or office administration is preferred.
- Proven experience in a data entry or similar role is required.
- A valid driver's license and the ability to be covered under the Company's automobile insurance is required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Knowledge of administrative procedures and systems including word processing, and managing files and records.
- Basic knowledge of data confidentiality principles.
- Proficiency in utilizing Microsoft Office Suite and other data entry software.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Skilled in accurately inputting Alphanumeric Data.
- The ability to set up functions, enter dates, and process information in computers and computer systems.
- Maintain a high level of cooperation and rapport with all teammates to ensure accurate and efficient operations.
- The ability to verify the accuracy of financial and/or transactional data.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES AND INTERACTIONS WITH OTHERS
The Data Entry Clerk has no supervisory responsibilities. However, the role will be expected to interact daily with coworkers.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Duties are typically performed in an office environment. The work environment is usually a well-lit environmentally controlled indoor environment with a moderate level of noise. This is a full-time position, and the hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Work hours may vary depending on the operational activities and required duties; evening and weekend work may occasionally be required.
