Position Summary
Servers & Bartenders are responsible for positive, memorable, and hospitable interactions while exhibiting our core values of Excellence, Attention to Detail, Teamwork, and Salesmanship. At all times, service team are expected to be attentive to our guests' needs, present for service, and confidently representing our menu & initiatives.
Ideal team members are passionate about Italian food, wine & spirits, enjoy fast paced work environments, and are highly responsible & motivated professionals. Pelato service staff will work with a tight-knit team driven by responsible management in a family-owned business.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare room for dining by setting tables and service stations, condiments, napkins, service plates and utensils
- Adhering to sanitation, safety and alcohol beverage control policies
- Guide guests by presenting menu; offering cocktails; suggesting courses; explaining the chef's specialties; identifying appropriate wines; answering food preparation questions
- Stay updated on current menu choices, specialties and menu adjustments
- Communicate orders to bar and kitchen, including identifying guests' special dietary needs and special requests
- Actively running drinks from the bar and food from the kitchen as necessary
- Maintain table setting by removing courses as completed; replenishing utensils; refilling water glasses; being alert to patron spills or other special needs
- Properly open and pour wine at the tableside
- Properly handle payment for all checks; delivering check and payment to host; appropriately securing correct change or credit card processing; returning change or credit card and signature slip to patrons
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
- Perform basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by Management
- Fill in for absent staff as needed
- Assist with Private Events as needed
- Adhere to grooming and appearance standards consistently
- Promptly address guest service issues and refer guests to management as necessary
Qualifications:
- Previous serving experience required
- New Restaurant Opening experience a plus
- Excellent oral communication skills required
- Positive interpersonal skills required
- Experience with Toast POS preferred

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
