Title:
QA/QC Inspector
Job Summary:
Assist the Quality Manager and QA/QC Team Lead implementation of all company's policies, procedures, and activities involved in assuring the quality of manufactured products.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Communicate with the QC Supervisor/Manager to determine the specific requirements of a given work order, including the scope of work, deliverables, schedule, for different projects.
- Provide guidance and training to existing and new hired inspectors.
- Interpreting blueprints and execute dimensional, visual and NDT inspections using different gages and/or inspection equipment..
- Monitor the mechanical and electrical condition of the equipment and reporting operational or maintenance problems to supervision.
- Supervise multiple quality processes throughout the plant.
- Recommends changes to improve quality and reduce cost.
- Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources; maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Verify calibrations of all inspection equipment as required by AWS, customer specifications and internal procedures.
- Develop and maintain work procedures as required.
- Ability to multi-task and properly execute multiple simultaneous assignments without sacrificing efficiency or quality of the work.
- Team player willing to work with QC/Production personnel, office personnel, field staff, auditors, visitors, etc.
- Perform other duties as required.
Skills Required:
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to read shop fabrication drawings and interpret weld symbols.
- Ability to train inspection personnel.
- Possess at a minimum ASNT NDT Level 2 Certificates in UT methods.
- AWS CWI certification preferred
Qualifications:
Two to five years prior experience working in production at Pelco Structural or five to seven years inspection experience at a manufacturing facility with similarly skilled employees.
