The Pelham House Resort is a 250-seat wedding venue with a 150 seat rooftop restaurant, an 80 seat patio with fire pits overlooking Nantucket Sound. Rounding out this amazing property is a private beach, saltwater pool with a walk-in fire pit and a newly renovated 50 seat lounge/bar.

We are seeking a highly motivated staff to join the growing Food and Beverage team. We are looking for professional hardworking people who bring great energy into every day.

Position Summary:

The Lead Server is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the dining area, coordinating and guiding the server team, and ensuring seamless service delivery.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Supervise and lead the server team during service hours, ensuring high standards of guest engagement, service efficiency, and teamwork.

· Take and relay accurate orders to the kitchen staff and ensure timely delivery of food and beverages to guests' tables.

· Address guest inquiries, concerns, and feedback promptly, ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction.

· Train and onboard new servers, ensuring they understand resort standards, service protocols, and safety guidelines.

· Collaborate with the kitchen and bar staff to maintain efficient communication and coordination during peak service hours.

· Oversee table settings and ensure they meet the resort's standards for cleanliness, presentation, and aesthetics.

· Monitor and maintain the proper functioning of equipment and report any maintenance issues promptly.

· Uphold a high level of cleanliness and hygiene in the dining area, ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations.

· Assist with inventory management, restocking supplies, and placing orders as needed.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

· Outstanding leadership abilities, excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact confidently and politely with guests and team members.

· Knowledge of food and beverage items, including ingredients, preparation methods, and dietary considerations.

· Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to handle guest issues with tact and diplomacy.

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and delivering impeccable service.

· Solid understanding of dining etiquette, service procedures, and hospitality industry best practices.

· Proficient in point-of-sale systems and basic computer skills.

Education and Experience:

· High school diploma or equivalent required.

· Minimum of 5 years of experience in a high-end restaurant, preferably in a resort or luxury hotel setting.

· Prior experience in a supervisory or leadership role is highly desirable.

Physical Requirements:

· Must be able to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds.

· Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.

· Must be able to sit, stand or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift (range from 8-12 hours).

· Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.

· Work environment includes a fast-paced bar setting with varying noise and temperature levels.

· Shifts may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $10.00 per hour
