SCHEDULER/DISPATCHER
Under general supervision and report to Administrative Supervisor
- Responsible for dispatch.
- Responsible for Scheduling.
- Responsible for handling add-ons and cancellations of scheduling in a professional manner.
- Responsible for any duties that pertain to specifically to scheduling that may not be listed.
Responsibilities:
- Direct activities related to dispatching, routing, and tracking transportation vehicles.
- Serve as contact person for all drivers assigned to PTC.
- Co-ordinate with Fleet Supervisor to assign vehicles based on trip.
- Co-ordinate with Driver Supervisor as necessary.
- Report to the office manager about the daily schedule.
- Ask the office manager for any help if needed.
- Once the schedule is complete for the day make sure the office manager looks over it before making calls and proceeding.
- Make calls to all clients to ensure we have verified they are going, and the address and times are correct.
Minimum Qualifications
- Self-motivated
- Excellent people and problem-solving skills
- Calm demeanor under pressure
- Familiarity with county areas, streets, traffic, and typical driving times
Experience required:
- Transportation: 1 year
- Dispatch and scheduling: 1 year.
- Computer Skills: 2 years
- Communication skills: 2 years
- Customer Service: 2 years
- CPR Certification: 1 year
