Job Title:
Service Ambassador
Summary of the Position:
As a Service Ambassador, you will facilitate memorable moments and meaningful connections by providing exceptional hospitality to our guests and team members. You will maintain expert knowledge of our food menu and beverage program, including beer and cocktail recipes. Your primary goal is to provide a positive dining experience for all guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Communicate effectively with team members about ticket issues, beer changes, and 86'd beverages during shifts.
- Assist in training and onboarding of new team members on our food menu and bar program.
- Be responsible for assisting with bar inventory as needed.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Understand and maintain all OLCC rules, documenting any incidents that may occur.
- Work in a fast-paced environment and remain composed under pressure.
- Provide five-star service to all guests.
- Maintain a clean bar area, including the bar top and surrounding space.
- Change kegs and troubleshoot the beer draft system on a basic level.
- Resolve guest complaints in a timely manner and notify management of any issues.
- Assist other service personnel as needed.
- Perform all duties in accordance with the Family of Companies and Pelican customer service standards.
Requirements:
- 3 years of FOH hospitality bar experience preferred.
- 1 year of FOH hospitality leadership position preferred.
- Experience making cocktails.
- Experience in the beer industry, serving, and general knowledge of beer.
- Advanced understanding of interpersonal communication skills and problem-solving skills.
- Experience using hospitality POS systems such as Heartland, Toast, or Square.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and physically able to move and lift items.
- OLCC and Food Handler's certification.
- Exceptional communication skills.
