POSITION SUMMARY
The Assistant Controller supports the Controller in overseeing financial reporting, reconciliations, and compliance to ensure accurate and timely financial statements. This role manages key accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and month-end closings, while also assisting with budgeting, audits, and internal controls. Additionally, the Assistant Controller collaborates with internal teams and external consultants to optimize financial processes and maintain compliance with GAAP and regulatory standards.

Essential Functions Statement(s)
- Assist the Controller with preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll
- Manage journal entries, invoices, etc. and reconcile accounts for the monthly closing.
- Perform reconciliations of bank statements and general ledger accounts.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and variances.
- Coordinate audits and provide necessary documentation.
- Collaborate with outside network consultants to solve day-to-day technological issues.
- Assist controller in budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Provide necessary documentation for the annual financial review.
- Assist in the formulation of internal controls and policies to comply with legislation and established best practices
- Helps in development of reports for management or regulatory bodies.
- Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
- Utilize accounting IT systems to facilitate processes and maintain records.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
- Assists Controller with other tasks as needed.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting (four year college or university)
Experience: 5 Years of Accounting experience.
Computer Skills:
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics SL preferred)
- Proficiency in MS Office, with a strong focus on Excel, including VLOOKUP, PivotTables, and other advanced functions.
Certificates & Licenses: CPA certification is preferred.
