About The Position:
Pelican Int’l is looking to grow our team & company by hiring a Location Development Manager. This is your opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a rapidly growing company that cares about its people. The ideal candidate would have experience opening a business in multiple locations. They would be high energy and be hungry for growth in these new territories. Traveling would be a big part of this position with 50% of your time being away from the Tampa area.
Job Description:
As the Location Development Manager, you will be responsible for the strategic opening of new locations, ensuring that each site operates efficiently and effectively. You will play a key role in managing day-to-day operations, overseeing staff, and contributing to the overall growth of our business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and evaluate potential locations for new business openings
- Develop and execute a strategic plan for each new location, including timelines and budget considerations
- Manage the hiring, training, and development of staff for new locations.
- Oversee operational procedures to ensure compliance with company standards.
- Monitor performance metrics and implement improvements as necessary.
- Foster a positive work environment and promote team engagement.
- Collaborate with upper management to align new location strategies with overall company goals.
- Report on progress, challenges, and successes to senior leadership.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in location development, operations management, or a similar role.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
- Willingness to travel to new locations with overnight as needed
- Outside sales experience required.
Preferred For Role:
- Forklift knowledge
-Prior work history in managing and developing franchise locations preferred
-Associates/Bachelors Degree
