This is a seasonal, part-time position operating a 25-passenger shuttle bus.
CDL with Passenger Endorsement - REQUIRED
- Summary Safely transport beach goers to and from the PLCA parking lot to the Marina. Requires flexible Schedule including weekends and some holidays. Must also be available for some early morning eco tours and evening sunset cruises as scheduled. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Objective is to ensure passengers have a safe and enjoyable journey to and from the beach parking lot and the Marina. Interact professionally and courteously with the residents, guests and clientele of Pelican Landing. Other Duties ·
- Keep Bus CleanReport needed maintenance to the Director. Use proper care in handling all equipment.
- Verify that only authorized residents and guests board the bus, reporting invalid ID cards to Association office.Maintain records needed for passenger usage.
- Obey captain’s orders and instructions.Be able and willing to interact with other beach staff employees in appropriate work place behavior.
- Cleaning of bus. ·
Daily inspection of beach parking lot, Coconut Point parking lot and dumpster area.Fill bus with gas when necessary and maintain proper oil levelAdhere to Pelican Landing Community Association Standard Operating ProceduresSafeguard all Company AssetsAdhere to all safety policies and report any unsafe conditions to managementComply with all policies as described in the Pelican Landing Employee HandbookPerform additional duties as needed. · Clocked in 15 mins prior to start time. · BE KIND! Provide all visitors to the island with excellent customer service.Good customer service and people skillsProfessional appearance for working in a resort atmosphereLog book and record keeping skillsCPR, First Aid & AED trainingCurrent CDL License with passenger endorsement
- Qualifications HS degree or GED
- Supervisory Responsibilities None
- Physical Demands Be physically able to lift 40 lbs. and step across, up or down a 2 foot space and to perform all duties in a timely manner.
