What are the responsibilities and job description for the Branch Manager (Monroe, LA) position at Pelican State Credit Union?
The role of the Branch Manager is to guide and manage their team to provide quality service to members in account transactions, loan applications, and new accounts. They must be able to supervise, motivate, coach, and develop their team regarding all aspects of branch management. Our ideal Branch Manager has a positive, can-do attitude, is a self-starter, a problem-solver, and has a strong passion for developing others. They must enjoy community involvement and should thrive in a sales-oriented environment.
A Day in the Life of a Branch Manager INCLUDES:
Providing strong leadership and development to the team within their branch
Performing a wide range of transactional duties to serve members by receiving or paying out funds with high accuracy.
Offering financial solutions to members.
Assisting members with all financial needs.
Managing operational functions within the branch including loss control, compliance, and member retention and audit standards.
Taking loan applications and process/close them independently and accurately.
Opening new accounts and cross-sell all products and services.
Keeping accurate records of all transactions.
Branch manager Skills and qualifications include:
4-year college degree in Business Administration, Finance, or another business-related field
Additional experience may be considered in lieu of meeting education requirements
5 years of experience including branch operations and a combination of experience in lending, deposits, and teller duties.
Experience in a supervisor or management position is required
All candidates must be eligible to be licensed to sell all necessary insurance products
Excellent oral, written, and telephone communication skills
Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and member service skills
