Member Service Representative Floater - (Lake Charles, LA)

The role of the Member Service Representative Floater will be assisting our members with their financial needs including, but not limited to, receiving all loan applications, reviewing credit reports, and processing independently through to closing. They will also be responsible for promoting and cross-selling Pelican’s products in a way that is beneficial to our members. This position has the potential to earn monthly incentives based on attaining and exceeding sales goals. A Day in the Life of a MEMBER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE FLOATER INCLUDES: Performing routine member transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, cash advances, loan payments, transfers and check cashing. Maintaining a strong working knowledge of Pelican State CU's products and services. Balancing transactions and verify cash totals. Investigate and resolve out-of-balance conditions. Entering loan applications. Close and disburse all consumer loan types. Efficiently and accurately backing up tellers when needed, including balancing cash drawer at the end of the day.   MEMBER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE FLOATER Skills and qualifications include: High school diploma or equivalent. 2 years of experience including lending, teller, or call center experience with a financial institution. Must have a strong background in sales. All candidates must be eligible to be licensed to sell all necessary insurance products. Excellent oral, written, and telephone communication skills. Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and member service skills. Reliable transportation is required due to the travel requirement. Other things you may want to know about this position: Work Schedule Monday – Friday 8:30 am – 5:30 pm Travel time may extend beyond normal business hours. Travel Travel is necessary for this position and mileage reimbursement is available for those who qualify.   Work Site Location This position will be based at our Lake Charles Branch at 2231 Oak Park Boulevard, Lake Charles, LA 70601, and float to the surrounding branches in Sulphur, Lafayette, and Opelousas; with the potential for periodic travel to cover other branch locations as needed.   Why should you join the pelican team?
