What are the responsibilities and job description for the Customer Service Data Entry Clerk position at Pelican?
SUMMARY
Under general supervision, the Customer Service Data Entry Clerk enters and processes orders using various platforms and systems. This role processes price quotations for customers and sends order acknowledgements to customers when the process is complete.
JOB DUTIES
Enter data from source documents into a computer system in a timely and accurate manner.
Review online platform orders to resolve holds
Audit own work or work of others to ensure conformance with established procedures verifying data completeness and accuracy
Process customer quotations using established methods and practices for non-conforming orders.
Maintain customer master data records including ship-to locations, customer routing guides, and customer cross-reference
Support customer service team on various projects as needed.
Performs additional duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or equivalent
Two (2) years’ experience in a fast-paced office or sales environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Detail-oriented with customer service and follow-up skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and other appropriate software
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Three (3) years’ experience in a fast-paced office or sales environment
SAP, Salesforce & Esker Experience

Must be flexible regarding working hours and overtime. Must be able to work overtime on evenings and weekends, with or without advanced notice.
Must be able to operate in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be frequently required to execute standard physical activities within the facility areas (i.e. stand, walk, sit, use hands/fingers).
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be occasionally required to execute non-standard physical activities within the facility areas (i.e. climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch).
Ability to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
This position requires repetitive hand/wrist activities.
Salary : $17 - $19
