Compensation:
- LPN: $24 - 28.50/hour
- RN: $26 - $30/hour
- $10,000 sign-on bonus that will be paid out quarterly over the full year
Job Summary: 1:1 Nurse for a Pella Schools student for both school and home - Employed by Universal Pediatrics
Universal Pediatrics Registered Nurses and Licensed Practical Nurses work in the clients' home and/or school providing skilled medical care. Schedules are based on the client and the family needs. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Complete assessments, medication administration, and provide therapies, treatments, and interventions as scheduled in accordance with the plan of care and physician’s orders.
- Partner with all members of the interdisciplinary team including the family, ensuring a constant flow of communication regarding the client’s cares, changes in condition, developmental goals, etc.
- Provide support and education to clients and families to help them be successful.
- Build rapport and trust with clients, families, school or other caregivers, the office team, and peers to facilitate effective communication and build relationships.
- Complete timely charting through our electronic medical record system.
- Keep up to date with the client’s plan of care, changes in conditions, physician’s orders, family, or caregiver requests, etc.
- Advocate for the client and family to promote and support growth and development.
- Active Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensure, without restrictions
- Valid driver’s license and proof of auto liability insurance coverage
- CPR certification required but may be obtained after hire
- COVID-19 vaccine compliance
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds
