JOB SUMMARY:
The Education Assistant provides the administration of the day-to-day operations of the Education department functions and duties primarily being responsible for providing a wide range of clerical support. He/she is responsible for front line Education questions providing appropriate customer service and directing persons to the appropriate team members. He/She supports the Education team and employees in ensuring the correct curriculum and competencies are assigned to employees and ensures courses and classes are supported and provides resources for classes.
Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- Requires High School diploma; prefers Associates or Bachelor’s degree in related field.
- A minimum of 2 years clerical support experience, preferred in customer service role.
- Healthcare experience is desired.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
- Must demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
- High level of organizational skills, customer services, and multi-tasking.
- Requires high level of computer skills to include Word, Excel, Power Point and Meditech System.
- Ability to function as member of a team.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Must be able to complete tasks independently and utilize good judgment when making decisions.
