JOB SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for performing charge reconciliation for the Laboratory and other departments as requested and work with the appropriate manager to share findings or variances within the process to help capture all necessary charges. Assists with other projects as needed to help support the functions of the Lab and PRHC.
Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities:
CCS certification preferred.
Previous acute or clinic coding experience.
Professional knowledge of various aspects of patient care, human anatomy and physiology, and medical terminology.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Basic computer knowledge.
Data entry, abstracting, data collection skills.
Well organized with strong attention to detail.
Technical and critical thinking skills.
Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
