What are the responsibilities and job description for the PATIENT TRANSPORTER position at Pella Regional Health?
SCHEDULE: MONDAY-FRIDAY 8:00-4:30P
Job Summary:
The Patient Transporter will be working in collaboration with care givers to facilitate transportation of patients to and from ancillary departments and nursing units. Transportation may include outdoor activities such as aiding patients to and from facility parking lot or neighboring facilities. While performing patient escort services, staff will escort patients/visitors in a courteous, timely, and efficient manner. Excels in clear, concise and positive communications to patients, staff and visitors within the facility. The Patient Transporter will focus on patient safety and demonstrate the Pella Regional Health Center mission, vision, and values and demonstrate the facilities Standards of Behavior.
Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- High school graduate or GED
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) Heart Code BLS New employees certify within three (3) months after hire date.
- Complete full Mandatory Reporter education training within 90 days of
