Position Overview
The Staff Accountant is responsible for supporting the accounting team with day-to-day financial operations, including general ledger maintenance, financial reporting, reconciliations, and compliance. This role requires attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain general ledger entries and ensure accuracy in financial records.
- Perform account reconciliations , including bank, credit card, and balance sheet accounts.
- Assist in month-end and year-end close processes.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements to support decision-making.
- Monitor and process accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) transactions.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Support audit preparations by providing necessary documentation.
- Assist in identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency.
