What are the responsibilities and job description for the Customer Service Meat Clerk position at Pellicano's Marketplace?
Pellicano’s Marketplace is looking for a part time meat clerk to join a family owned Marketplace, headquartered in Wheatfield, NY, which provides custom cuts of meat, fresh deli and produce products to our customers. We are people-centric with a focus on excellent customer service. We work smart and have fun in a team-oriented environment, working together to serve our community!
Essential Functions
- Provides premier customer service, including greeting customers and answering their questions
- Fills service and display cases
- Rotates product within date and properly displays it
- Sells products by providing customers with information needed to make product-related decisions
- Verifies ad prices, hangs current sale signs, and removes out-of-date sale signs
- Unloads trucks and verifies deliveries
- Performs routine price changes on products
- Cleans their section and sweeps, and mops the sales area and stock rooms
- Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with Pellicano’s recipes
- Sets up displays
Education and Experience
- At least 18 years of age
- 1 year’s customer service experience (preferred)
