About the Role
The Senior Manager, Manufacturing US will oversee Peloton's refurbishment operations in the US based in our Linden, NJ facility, ensuring the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of our refurbishment process and quality of our products for our members. This role combines operational leadership, strategic planning, and continuous improvement initiatives to drive performance across our refurbishment team.
Your Daily Impact at Peloton
- Refurbishment Operations Leadership: Lead and manage a large team of full-time and contract employees responsible for the day-to-day operations of mechanical and electronic refurbishment across Peloton's product lines.
- Process Development and Continuous Improvement: Develop and implement standardized operating procedures (SOPs) for refurbishment processes. Utilize Lean methodologies and 5S principles to drive continuous improvement and optimize workflows, reducing waste and increasing throughput.
- Labor and Resource Management: Oversee labor planning, capacity management, and resource allocation to ensure alignment between refurbishment capabilities and demand.
- Collaboration and Cross-Functional Leadership: Work closely with Refurbishment Operations, Engineering, Quality, Planning and Supply Chain teams to define repair and refurbishment processes, troubleshoot issues, and track key performance indicators (KPIs) that affect product quality, cycle time, and costs.
- Sustainability Initiatives: Help drive Peloton's sustainability goals by improving the circularity of Peloton products.
- Team Development and Coaching: Build, develop, and mentor a high-performing team, providing training, guidance, and career development opportunities.
- Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Establish and monitor KPIs to evaluate performance, including product quality, cost efficiency, productivity, and sustainability.
You Bring to Peloton
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Leadership Experience: A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in manufacturing, refurbishment, or operations management, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with refurbishment tools, equipment, and diagnostic tools used in mechanical and electronic repairs.
- Sustainability Focus: Demonstrated experience in driving sustainability initiatives, waste reduction, and circularity within manufacturing or refurbishment operations.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
